Flyers bring back Powe for another year

Powe, 25, scored nine goals and assisted on six more in 63 regular season games for the Eastern Conference champion Flyers last season, this after an 11-point (six goals, five assists) rookie campaign in 2008-09.

The club also signed defenseman Dan Jancevski and forwards Matt Clackson and David Laliberte to undisclosed contracts on Thursday.

Jancevski has played in nine career NHL games, while Laliberte appeared in 11 games for the Flyers last year, notching two goals and an assist.

Although the Golden Bears are listed as 7.5-point favorites, the Sun Devils are 3-0, lead the nation in sacks with 18 and possess the Pac-10's leading passer in sophomore quarterback Rudy Carpenter.
