Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Washington Nationals have dealt infielder Cristian Guzman to the Texas Rangers for prospects. A story on the Nationals' official website cited Guzman's agent in reporting the move, which was confirmed by a team source. The Rangers' acquisition of Guzman helps to offset the loss of second baseman Ian Kinsler, who was placed on the disabled list this week with a strained left groin. Texas had already acquired Jorge Cantu from the Florida Marlins on Thursday.

to center field, it would have been a pop up had Lee been on the mound. Amaro, and by extension Oswalt, will be deemed failures if the Phillies don't capture their second title in three years. Imagine if Philadelphia battles the very capable Texas Rangers, Lee's new team, in the World Series and loses. Lee's trade to the Rangers also made Amaro look bad, given the return the Mariners got for the future free agent. While Amaro netted a trio of prospects who have gotten lost in the system this y

By trading Joe Saunders and a trio of prospects to Arizona in exchange for three-time All-Star Dan Haren, Reagins sent a message that the Angels are not willing to go quietly into the night.
